if we're just going to have one main meal a day which is best time to go, tea or lunch? we no have normally have our main meal in the evening but wondering if breaking up the day and warming up (we're going at the end of November) is better.

Does it make any difference to service and quality and busyness etc.

We also go at the end of November and will be this year too.
We fill up at breakfast, then early afternoon we stop for a snack and a hot chocolate to warm up, we then have our main meal in the evening in one of the restaurants in the villiage.

We do it this way because the parks close much earlier, sitting down to a nice meal when the parks close take us to about 9:30pm, by that time we're ready to head back to the hotel and get an early night :)

Hi Mizzz,

at the end of November the parks won't be open late (probably 7pm or 8pm latest midweek) so at that time of year, I'd do my main meal after the parks have closed (ie in the onsite hotel restaurants or the Village).

If theres somewhere specific in the park you'd prefer to eat, you might have to do that at lunchtime instead, as the park restaurants close when the parks close.

We tend to do things the other way round due to us having a 4 (very nearly 5) year old with us. We'll get as an early a breakfast as possible due to wanting to do EMH's then have a proper lunch and just grab something snacky for tea. We find this works best for us as trying to get our son to eat a big meal in the evening when he's shattered is a nightmare. If I he's eaten an descent lunch it doesn't matter if he only feels like eating something light at tea time.

Thanks, mine are normally in bed by 8 since they are still little so maybe lunch will be better rather then trying to eat after the park closes.
I guess they will be extra tired!
not sure what we'll do all evening though

Also if we were going to book one special experience which would you recommend, buffalo bills? princesses? cafe mickey?
or any other that I don't know about ha?
We have a 1 year old to consider as well! My dread is paying a fortune for something and one of us having to take our little one out and missing it!

How late the park closes depends on what time of year you're visiting so you might find that there's still things to do.

Special things to do would depend on how old/what flavour of little ones you have! Auberge is expensive and tbh the food doesn't look all that great. Cafe Mickey is usually a safe bet and I've heard that the pizzas are more than big enough to share. With a one year old I wouldn't do Buffalo Bills as it can be very noisy and dusty and as the seats are cinema style not good for getting out of in a hurry!

Are you going mid-week in late November or at the weekend? We always go mid-week and the park usually closes by 7. Our boys are in bed by 7 at home but both cope well with having a meal once the park closes and we have visited from when they were 1 year old, but of course, all children are very different :)

There isn't a great deal to do once the parks close at that time of the year so we also find eating then helps kill a little time before DH and i are ready to crash.

I would highly recomend Cafe Mickey, our boys love the character interaction and the food is pretty good too.

Our best option is early breakfast. A very good lunch and a snack in the evening. This worked out best for us.

We have a 10, 6 and 3 year old boys. We always have a good breakfast, although our children are picky at breakfast time and hungry again by lunch so have a counter service or buffet lunch and always pre-book our dinner in the village for when the parks close. We have taken the children since they were 6 months old and have always managed it. If you dont want a sit down meal at night time then a walk around the shops or a sit down in one of the hotel bars is the only other thing I would do.

As a special meal it would be Cafe Mickey or Inventions for me. We are doing Buffalo Bills this time as our youngest is 3. We done it when he was 1 and I wouldnt recommend it at this age. Princess meal is a deffinate no for us with 3 boys! (although I would like to do it!)
