I just bought a DVC timeshare (Boardwalk) from Jerry at the Timeshare Store, He seems to be a very nice and knoweldgeable person about DVC.
I am very excited and was wondering if anyone can tell me what to expect next (how long to close, when can I make a reservation, what type of park tickets should I get, etc.). As a member do we get discounts on tickets?
Thanks for any Newbie info.

If your offer was just accepted by the seller, the contract will go through right of first refusal (ROFR) with disney. That can take anywhere from days to weeks to hear back. If that has already happened, closing can typically take a couple of weeks. Once closing has occurred, you will probably be entered into the DVC system within days/week+. You can then make reservations.

Check with your broker too as they often are very savy regarding what to expect.

Beginning 1/02/05, DVCers get $100 off an AP adult ticket and $85 off a child AP.
