Newbie in CA needs help

Hello! I just joined the board recently after lurking for awhile. This is a wonderful resource for Disney fans and am thankful that it is available.

My DH is taking our DS, my mother and I next month to WDW to celebrate my birthday. He's already got at least a handful of surprises lined up for me. But I would like to have one for him.

Any suggestions? Thank you in advance for your time and opinions.

When we went to WDW a few years back, I bought my husband one of the driving experiences from the Richard Petty Driving School...he loved it.

I actually mentioned it our past couple of trips and he didn't seem too interested in it. My DH and DS are going golfing so maybe I'll call the Pro Shop and see what they can do.

Call a CM and ask them. They are very helpful and can suggest things that they have done in the past that worked out realy good.

hmmm surprises.. this is what I have done to surprise my family in the past...

-A Segway Tour - for my sister on my bday, she is not a fan of the Princesses so I told her we are having the story book breakfast, got her a princess hat and went to EPCOT 1st thing in the morning. She was not really happy about it but was doing it for me bec. it was my Bday. When we got in and found out she was doing the Tour instead... Boy that smile cannot be bought even by mastercard

-La Nouba - I know I sound stupid but I am not to fond of Clowns but my aunt was interested with the show. We vegitated the whole day, hotel hop and finally I said to her "this is boring let's go to DTD and have dinner and watch some movies at AMC I have some free pass. Walked pass by the Bldg and I said hmmm if you have a choice what movie do you want to see she look at me and sigh.. and said anything... Gave her a hug and pulled her right in to see Cirque Du Soliel, upto this day I am the fave Niece I wonder why

- Illumination Celebration cruise for my nephew - he loves fishing and fireworks... but he knows am scared of water..( I know I am scared of alot of stuff... ) told him I would go fishing with him but it has to be at night so I wont' see the fishes... he went along with it.. and soon as I got him to the boat the rest of the family was waiting and yell surprise.. was so surprised he end up crying... and he was almost 10 it was his Bday celebration cruise. Did other Cruises for surprises too! But this is the best one I that I can share.

-MNSSHP - last year was my family's 1st time. There were some medical issue that my cousin was not sure with whats going on with my other nephew. To bring his spirit up took them to go trick or treating before they go to the hospital( he would be in the hospital during Hallooween and longer) plus it was my sisters Bday.

Dessert gathering - This coming Sept. 28 we are celebrating my other sister's bday 2x on the 28th for the Illumination Dessert Party,Her fave Fireworks is Illumination but always get agitated before the Fireworks coz she feels like she can never find the perfect spot... Wait till she sees this one in Sept! and Again we are doing MNSSHP on Sept. 30th , she thinks we are going home by the 30th morning...

-Flowers and Balloons- delivered to my parents room even when I was not with them during their trip for their anniversary.

-my one sister danced the Hula for the DBF when we were at Ohana so she can get a lay for HIM.. now I think that was sweet..

-Wagon Rides - did this with my nieces when they were all in their jammies and I said "auntie wants to go out anybody want to come.. they thought we're just getting refills for our mug...

I have one more surprise for this upcoming trip but they might be reading.... then it wont be a surprised... will tell you when we get back

OK I hope I have shared some pointers with you... I love surprises and I try to come up with something for my family always. I hope you have a Grand time !
