Can some one please explain the difference in this to me. What is different between the express pass you buy and the one you get for staying on site?

We are staying at disney for 10 days in July, one of those days I have arranged for a town car to take us to universal and have the 1 day 2 park tickets. I am trying to decide if we need the express pass or not there are 4 of us, but from what I am reading it is only good for 1 time at each ride, is the one for onsite guests unlimited? It might be worth it just to spend the night there. Any help or advice is appreciated.

Hi the pass u buy can be used once per attraction your hotel key card is unlimited and 1 nights stay = 2 days FOTL the day u check in and day u check out

So could we get there around 7:30 am and check in so we could use the pass for the whole day? I know the room wouldn't be ready, but would they hold our bags for us? Do you think the 286$$ would be worth it?

hi yep, no problem at all they will hold your bags or u msay be lucky and room is ready, its definitely worth it also you are only a 10 min walk from hotel to parks so you can enjoy the pool in afternoon

Most of the time when you buy the Express Passes, they will initial or mark on them either the rides first letter or draw a picture. If they use a pen you can wipe it off right after they do it and use it again. :rolleyes1

always worth it to stay onsite to get the whole immersive experience. the hotel, the pools, the short walk......its wonderful having unlimited FOTL and go back for a swim (short walk rather than busses) and go back at night

They didn't scan mine once on Saturday. In fact half the rides didn't even mark them. We got marked on the Mummy, Seuss Trolley, Cat in the Hat and Spiderman. The Mummy and spiderman were both in pen and the other 2 were wiht sharpies. All of which came off but the red sharpie on the Seuss trolley ride left a redish tint.

Just so I'm clear we could check in around 7:30am, head to IOA ride everything, break, go to US and still get in everything before close? This will be on a Friday in July. The reason I want to know about the unlimited express is because I am sure we will want to do the coasters more than once.

yup.

you can do that!!!!

Last Saturday they opened the park up at 8:45 instead of 9. We took off to the hulk, rode in the front row the first time with no wait then got off and got back on and rode the back row with now wait. We went to Spedrman and got on that with no wait. Went to Dudley and had our own log to ourselves. Went to Jurassic River Adventure and there was no wait. Then to Dueling Dragons and got on both coasters with no wait. By now it ws around 10:30 and we didnt have to use our Express Passes once yet.

I am having a hard time justifying 286$. If we can do the rides we want with out it, as we are planning on being there by 8am we are being picked up by the town car at POP at 7:30. I guess I can't see leaving a paid for hotel room empty to barely stay in another. But I don't want to spend all day long in line and only be able to do one or two rides either. Someone please make up my mind for me.:confused3

I'd say go for it, u will get two days at the parks plus you can go at a much slower pace, $286 VIP for two days

it is a hard choice.......sorry I can't make up your mind for ya! can only give some info....

Four 1 Day/2 Park Express Plus passes will be cheaper then a $286 hotel room...

Thats why I was wondering if you could use them more than one time per ride, or would just the one time make it worth it?

Or I guess like you said earlier, hit the park early ride what you can early with out the pass and then use it later, can you do that?

Sorry for all the questions but we have never been there before and only to disney once before.

This is what we did when we went last weekend. We went all around IOA first thing in the morning and did all the main rides that would be packed later in the day. Then when it began to get busy we walked over to Universal and started using our Expres Passes right fromt he start since it was the middle of the day and crowds were picking up. Then after Universal we went back to IOA and used our Express Pass on everything that we either missed or wanted to do again. It worked perfect :thumbsup2
