I'm looking at the menus for the Dream, and most of the food looks so delicious! Very much looking forward to eating on this cruise, and gaining all the weight back that I'm losing in preparation for this cruise. :) Anyhow, when looking at the Enchanted Garden menu, there isn't an appetizer that appeals to me. Is it possible to order a soup and salad instead of an appetizer? Thanks!

Yep, you can order whatever you want. On our last cruise, there were two appetizers that I wanted one night so I ordered both but didn't order a soup or salad. Our waiter brought one with the appetizer course and the second when everyone else got their soup/salad.

Also don't be Afraid to mix things up on the main menu. Example you want the chicken but you will rather have the side dishes that come with the steak go ahead and order the side dishes you want. Enjoy

we never ordered appetizers because they either did not appeal to us or we were allergic to essential ingredients.

Usually we would order a soup, sometimes a salad. Sometimes two soups :-)

As others have said, order whatever you want, but make sure you order 2 orders of the Black Truffle Pasta Purseittes from Animators Palate, they are doughy puffs of heaven!!!

This is a good point. I will often get one of the regular meals on the menu but ask for a side of rice from the lighter offerings sections. Sometimes the waiters exchange the potato (or whatever the side is) that comes with the meal for the rice while others just bring me an extra side of rice along with the full meal as described on the menu. 1 menu has a pasta and a steak that I like so I get a side of the pasta as an appetizer and then the steak as my meal. So yes, as others have noted order whatever you want...and enjoy!:goodvibes

Like the penguins in Mary poppins say

Order what you will, there will be no bill, its complimentary

My first cruise or dining mates constantly ordered extra dishes to take back to the room, they said you could order everything on the menu and it would come to you

Similarly, none of the main entrees on Pirate Night appeal to me, so I order two orders of the potstickers (appetizer) as my meal. And I always order two orders of the pursiettes in Animator's, as a PP mentioned. They are so good!

I totally second that. Best part of our B2B was that I had two nights I could order it. We had the same servers for both legs of that one and our server brought me a larger portion the second time we dined there because he knew I liked it so much.

You can even sometimes order 'off menu'. One night I really wanted just a basic garden salad, so I asked for the salad on the kid's menu (it's just iceberg lettuce really). The waiter went ahead and had the kitchen put together a much nicer spring mix "adult" salad for me. I find they always do what they can to be accommodating.

I believe you can get that basic garden salad at any time. It's not on the menu, but I've always been able to get it.
