We're going for the first time in September and are so excited! It'll be DH, me, our then 19 month old daughter, and MIL. The number of restaurants is a little overwhelming so I'd love some advice.

Here's what we've got so far (We'll be on DDP...existing ADRs are marked reserved):

Sat - Nine Dragons (reserved)
Sun - Whispering Canyon (reserved)
Mon - 1900 or Harvest Feast character meal
Tues - Concourse (reserved) (just DH, me, and another couple)
Wed - Ohana (reserved)
Thur - Someplace kind of nice for just DH and me
Fri - Boma or Prime Time or Beaches and Cream or another good place???

So, here are my questions.
-Do these choices look good? Any must-eat places I'm missing?
-Which is better, 1900 or Harvest Feast character meal (dinner)?
-Which is better, breakfast at GF Cafe or Kona Cafe?
-What would you recommend for a dinner without the baby? (Someplace nicer, but no where with fish as the main entree...Le Cell is already full)
-For Friday, should we do Boma, Prime Time, or Beaches and Cream. or other?

Thanks so much! :woohoo:

What you have looks fine. I am not familiar with the Harvest Feast - is that Garden Grill Or Liberty Tree Tavern? We love Garden Grill, but I would probably do 1900 PF taking your DD's age into consideration. IME, face characters are an easier sell to kids that age though I know Cinderella isnt the only character there. I have done breakfast at 1900 PF and it was quite good but can't tell you about dinner (yet!)

Kona Cafe would be our choice for breakfast. Dinner at Kona is excellent too.

As far as dinner without the baby ... are you looking for 1 TS credit only? Where are you staying? Some single TS restaurants - we liked Spoodles very much and there's Chefs de France too. Though I can't recommend for the food alone, San Angel Inn is sorta dark and romantic ... as I mentioned above, we love Kona for dinner. If you were in the market for 2 TS restaurants, we've had wonderful dates at Jiko and Narcoossee's. We've had a great meal at Brown Derby. We're going to California Grill as our date night in September, I think that is a no brainer for a special night. Artist Point is also on our to do list.

Between Boma, Prime Time and Beaches & Cream, I would do Boma, no question. Prime Time has a similar service "style" to WCC, a place already in your plans. B&C is not a good TS value. The food there, IMO, is not good though the ice cream is terrific. I would skip a meal there in favor of a paying for a sundae OOP or skipping altogether. Boma is a favorite of ours for both breakfast and dinner.

Good luck!

The only problem I see with your list is that they are all at resorts (except Nine Dragons). If you are bringing your own car, this will be just fine and I'm sure you'll have an excellent time. however, if you are using the disney busses that is a LOT of bus hopping and it taking over an hour to get from your resort to another hotel after switching at a park is not uncommon, an hour and a half is even considered normal. If the latter is the case I'd really suggest looking for equivilent meals at the parks.

Thanks for the ideas!!

Jenjersnap, you're right, that is the Garden Grill Harvest Feast. We liked that one because of the rotating restaurant aspect but you might be right that face characters might be better for DD. I'll be sure check out the restaurants you suggested for date night! I was leaning towards Boma for our last night too because it is so different from everything else. B&C sounds like a good place to stop just for dessert. Thanks for the advice.

Biscuitsmom31, I forgot all about Marrakesh! That was on my list originally. How is the ambiance there? Better for a family night or couple night?

BlindTyldak, we'll definitely be renting a car. We're staying at OKW and think that with naps and everything a baby needs to get around, a car would be very valuable. Good to know it'll come in handy for dining, as well.

The ambiance is great for families or couples. At dinner time there is a live band and a belly-dancer. It's very cool.
