I think it depends on how flexible you are and when you are traveling. Everytime I am traveling, I know I can at least get a savanna view 1BR, and that's an OK backup for me. YMMV.

When do you usually travel? We love 1 bedrooms. I’m just not sure we have enough travel flexibility for this to work. We do love summers and have most of June / July open to travel. Sun- Thurs is best for flights though
Maybe I should consider some cheap points for that time frame.

Our first trip was in November after Thanksgiving, but our last two were in August and June. We've decided summer is just too hot for us, so we're going back to November. Our daughter usually has a few days off from school in the beginning of the month before Food and Wine ends so it looks like that may be when we start traveling. Although she may not always go with us since these trips will focus on F&W, so we may try Spring Break as well. Very busy time of year I know, but I'm hoping not quite as hot as August!
