Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Hope your as happy as can be!!!! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

My family and I will be taking our first trip to WDW June 26 thru July 3 2005. There is 4 of us, DH,DS(13), DS(3), and myself. :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy:
We are staying at the ASMovie resort. We are on DYW package, and have park hopper tickets.
Can you tell me how my plans sound and if there is anything you would change or add to make this the most "MAGICAL" experinece it can be. I really appreciate all your input.

I have so much enjoyed these boards and the magical people I have met so far. I've learned so much, only hope to learn and grow more each time I am here.

Thank you in advance, And I'm sorry it's such a long thread.

It looks good! My only concern is that you have a PS every day. Just remember to be flexible and if you and your family don't feel like taking the 2 hours out of your day to do a sit down meal you don't have to (remember to cancel your PS). They are a good way to take a break but sometimes the parks might win out over a nice sit down meal and eating a turkey leg on the curb in MK might work better for all of you. REMEMBER - you can't do everything, that's why we keep going back! :)

That being said, the only thing I don't like is that last activitiy you have listed on Sunday. ;)

Hi Karen,

I think you have it all covered!

I do want to warn you though that you will be going at one of the busiest times of the year. So....

Wednesday the 29th: arriving at MK late in the day will pretty much preclude you from seeing the "big" attractions, unless you are willing to wait 90 minutes for them. Fastpasses will probably be gone by the time you get there. Of course, with an evening EMH you should be back in good shape after the park closes to the day guests.

Thursday the 30th: Maybe someone else can help on this, but I didn't know you could see Spectro from Ohana?

Saturday the 2nd: all the parks will probably be packed, so I'm not sure how much you will be able to get done in the evening as far as things you missed or want to do again.

Hope this helps,

Bob

Wow...looks great!! Job well done :) Have a wonderful trip!!

ok my concerns with your plan...really not much MK time for the 3 yr old...might want to think of that....

why are you driving yourself everywhere...one advantage of on site is the transportation?

there is not a beach close enough to "visit in the am...."

it is wishes fireworks show that you may see from Ohanas not spectro(a parade)...spectro is not scheduled for the 30th and wishes is at 10pm...you will not get over to EPCOT to do much by midnight if you stay at Poly for WISHES

if you want to see spectro you need to catch it on Mon (sched may change as time gets closer) but for now....

Your plans look pretty good. As shatzjsl said, just consider being willing to be flexible about your PS's. You may find there is so much more you want to do in the park you're in at the time that you won't want to leave. Unless you did a trip that was 3 weeks long, you just can't get everything in in one trip! ;) And since you do have a 3-year-old, MK will be the most magical for that age. Maybe try to plan on more time there.

Where in Texas are you? We drove last time and are driving this time (just a month away!). It's not a bad drive at all. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the drive/route, etc.

You'll LOVE your first trip. On our first family trip two years ago, we went the time you will be there. It really wan't too bad. If you don't go expecting to get through everything quickly, just take your time, you'll do fine!

Gosh, you people are so wonderful!!!

Ok, it's wishes we can see from dinner, got it!!
Also, I don't have PS's everyday, Friday is open.

I've read and read and read, and everything I've read always say to start early, before crowds and hot weather, break, then enjoy cooler evenings. Is this not the way to do it?
On the evenings that I plan on staying later in the parks, I've tried to make the next mornings not a early one.

And belive me, MK is our favorite I'm sure, and we plan to take full advantage of our first morning and also EMH on wednesday night.

Thanks again, soooooooo very much.
I just love these boards!!!

First of all, forgiveness from all please,
I posted this same thread on several different forms so I could be sure to get the most advise possible. Needing all that I can get.

Correct me if I'm wrong, please. :confused3 :confused3

I understood we are going at one of the busiest times of year. And that also, staying at ASMovie resort, this was last resort to be picked up on Value resorts bus line.
And, because we are staying on property, parking was free where ever in "world" we were going.
So with all that in mind, I thought it would be more convient and time saving to drive ourselves around then it would be to take the buses. With the exception on MK. I've read this park is a booger if you drive yourself.

So am I wrong?? I have no idea, being our first time and all. :confused3
