Newbie Booking Question

We are returning home in December and want to bring my parents but do not want to share a 2BR for several reasons

Can I have a BCV room and a cash room at BC booked in my name? I'd like to use the AP Discount to book the cash room for them, but by doing so I don't want to impact my DVC booking.

Any thoughts? Maybe I should put my parents name on the Villa since I can "gift" it and book the cash room with my AP discount then switch ?? Can I do that?

AFAIK, you can do this. Keep in mind that you, the AP holder will have to check in to the BC room, but I really doubt that Disney cares who actually sleeps in the room. FWIW, I do not think that the CRO & DVC reservation systems "talk" to each other yet, so it is unlikely that they will even know that you also have a DVC unit reserved.

You may want to make sure that the BC room doesn't have more than two adults listed on the reservation since there would be an extra charge for that. Perhaps list yourself and one parent on the BC room and your spouse and the other parent on the BCV unit. Then you can just switch room keys and there shouldn't be a problem with credit cards (for extras) or ME or Dining Plans (You'd have to be careful if you are doing the DP tomake sure the credits used are from the correct room).

You might check on booking a villa for them with your DVC cash discount. How does that cost compare to the AP discount?

Good points. thanks so much!! Sounds like a lot of "switcheroo's" but like you said, what difference could it make to them. Its worth it for 40% off rack rates! We probably wouldn't do the DDP since I am getting the TIW card in a few weeks. Other people book seem two rooms, so I should be able to also (I would think). I may call and ask my guide or MS just to ensure there is no issue when we try to check in. Then again, maybe some things are better left unsaid??

You might check on booking a villa for them with your DVC cash discount. How does that cost compare to the AP discount?

Actually, I'm not sure what the DVC cash discount is. The AP discount code that I have is for 40% off. Its best for their budget and everyone on the trip that they remain at the BC with a little bot o' distance between us. I'm not saying anything more.....
