We've stayed at many of the resorts & have camped at Ft.W., but this time we plan to stay in a cabin for 7 nites. Love Ft.W.!

1. TV -
A. I read that there is no TV in the bedroom. Is this correct?
B. If no TV in the bedroom, is there a 'comfortable' place to sit in living room & watch tv?
C. Can the living room tv easily be seen while on the pull-out Murphy bed?
D. I was told the tv has basic cable - 40-60 stations - is this correct?

2. Bus / Loops -
A. Going to/from the MK Boat - I requested loop 1100 because it looked closest to the orange route. Is that true? Is that the best location for the bus? I'm assuming the orange route is the bus to the boat(?).
B. I read that loop 2600 is the 2nd stop, which is a good thing (I guess). Is that for going to the boat dock or else where?
C. Which is the best loop to board before others to ensure to get a seat (we like to go to MK early when lots of others do!)? We are seniors & getting a seat on the bus really helps.

Thanks in advance. Julie
Forgot to mention - we won't be using a pool or comfort house.

There is a 19" TV is the bedroom

There is a couch that is ok to sit on

C. Can the living room tv easily be seen while on the pull-out Murphy bed?
Yes

D. I was told the tv has basic cable - 40-60 stations - is this correct?
Yes - but mostly disney attraction channels. There is also a DVD player in the living room.

You won't have a problem no matter where you end up. I could be wrong on this, but we have stayed in 4 different loops. All have had both Orange and Purple busses stopping at the bus stops. One takes you to the boat (back of the campground). One takes you to the Bus station (Front of the campground).

B. I read that loop 2600 is the 2nd stop, which is a good thing (I guess). Is that for going to the boat dock or else where?
Don't know this one. The buses stop at all loops.

C. Which is the best loop to board before others to ensure to get a seat (we like to go to MK early when lots of others do!)? We are seniors & getting a seat on the bus really helps.
We have always gotten a seat. Mostly the buses were empty starting the day. Ending the day is a different story.

Hope this helps.:)

As far as the bus stops go, this is my understanding from many trips. There are three busses (yellow, purple, and orange). They mostly have separate routes but a couple overlap in places I believe. There are two busses on each route. One runs one direction and the other runs opposite.

For example, there will be an OUTPOST ORANGE and a SETTLEMENT ORANGE. If you want to go to the settlement, get on the settlement bus. The outpost, get on the outpost bus. At the end of the route, the outpost bus becomes the settlement bus and goest back the other way. This works the same for the other colors as well.

Check out the map here and note the bus routes:

Did you mean you requested 2100 loop as 1100 is a campsite loop? They back up to each other.

If walking or standing is a problem, I would request a cabin close to the bus stop and let them know why. Sometimes it is quite a trek from the back of a loop to the bus stop.

I would not say there is a particular loop to guarantee a seat on the bus but normally that is not a problem.

Another option to consider is renting a golf cart. My family has rented one every year and while it is an added cost we felt that it was worth it in order to avoid the walk to the bus as well as waiting for a bus.

We have enjoyed staying in the cabins a few times! The only drawback that we encountered was the full-size bed in the bedroom. It is pushed up against the wall on one side and if the person sleeping on that side (ME!) wanted to get up before the other, you wake them up climbing out at the foot of the bed! If it's just the two of you and you want to give the other some extra time in the AM you may want to use the Murphy Bed. We didn't do that, but it's an option.

We have used the murphy bed for that reason, but another solution we have used is to move the bed away from the wall. The headboard is attached to the wall. It stays in place, but there is room on both sides of the bed if you move it a foot or so to the right.

My husband and I would kill each other in a full size bed, so he gets to sleep in the kitchen :)

That's the only big downside to the cabins.
