Newbie and August trip

Hi all! I have been reading these boards for a couple of years now and I finally decided to pop in with a question!
We go to Disney every year in February and this year we have decided to sneak an extra trip in August. We are going August 6 - 12. I have read everyones suggestions regarding the heat and crowds. The general consensus seems to be get to the park early and take breaks in the afternoon.
With this trip we are not in a rush to see everything possible, since we were just there in February. So, here's my question, since the parks are open late that week, would any of you advise us to go to the parks after 4pm? Do you think that will help with the heat?

We find the parks very pleasant both early and late in August. and yes, it will be hotter than February!

I would stay away from the EMH park for sure. For 18 bucks, TGM's site will tell you what park, what day, morning and night. Well worth it, IMO.

I just peeked in on another thread regarding the change of hours that week! That may change our plans a bit, but I am secretly hoping it's because they are expecting less crowds! (Wishful thinking!, lol)

Well back when we first planned our trip, the MK was open until 11:00. Another poster noticed that the hours for MK have changed and they are now closing at 10.

I didn't realize this. We haven't experienced this is the past. I guess we better check right before we leave!

Just popping in also to say that we'll be there August 9th-15th to celebrate our birthdays. We are staying on property for the first time at the Caribbean Beach Resort and we can't wait! Hope to see you there!
