I have not been to WDW since 1999. At that time they did not have Fast Passes (or I was completely oblivious :) How do they work? Are the available for all rides or just the "popular" ones? Where are the kiosks located?

Thanks for your help!

Fast pass is available for the more popular rides. The kiosk is located at the ride. You slide your ticket in the slot and it puts out a little ticket with your return time. It also tell you when the next time you can get another one, there is a wait. Then you can go do other things while waiting for your time to arrive. You do not have to go back at that exact time. Any time after the time stated on the ticket is ok. You return to the fast pass line and show your ticket to the CM, they usually don't take it there, you bypass most of the stand by people and a CM will take your fast pass inside the queue(sp?). There are clocks outside the ride that tell you when the fastpass return is so you can decide from there before getting the tickets. Usually if it is 4pm and the return is 8pm or after we bypass it if we are returning to the park another day. It just depends on if you like to stay late.
