...I'm afraid I know the answer to this question.

Like many people some unexpected circumstances have come up and I'm having to cancel my trip in May to push it back to November. My use year is June. I already borrowed my 50% allotment for 2022. But now the system isn't letting me put them back.

The answer is no. If they permit you to reverse transaction, it's pixie dust and not policy.

Banking and borrowing are final transactions (unless.... pixie dust ..rare). You may be able to rent out the May reservation and use the cash or next year's remaining points for November.

I would not expect them to put those points back. A few people have been granted a last minute exception for an emergencies.

Well... Praise God for Pixie Dust... they put the points back. I think it helped that I'm new enough to DVC to not realize, not to mention the fact that the reason (partially at least) we're having to delay is because my wife (who is an ICU nurse) is currently recovering from longhaul covid.

That’s great!

Borrowing is a final transaction so always keep that in mind. But MS has been known to sprinkle a little pixie dust on the odd occasion. Glad it worked out for you! And best wishes for your wife’s recovery.
