Does anyone remember these shows? I used to love them & one of the best things about being home sick was to watch those gals in the "Magic Garden" with the chuckle patch.
Freddy the Frog & Henrietta Hippo! That is good t.v.!:goodvibes

I do!

Yes to The New Zoo Review or was it Revue? oh well!

Loved that show. I was a TV addicted kid about like that boy, I think his name was Mike TV, from Willy Wonka! LOL

Did you ever watch Kimba the white lion?

This is the garden of make believe, the wonderful garden of make believe, where flowers guggle and birds play tricks...................... (Magic Garden for me).

"elegant and feminine is henrietta hippo, very wise and very smart is charlie the owl, not so smart but lots of heart is freddie the frog. it's quite an unusual thing-the animals talk and sing, with doug and emmie jo everyday's a different show. it's the new zoo review coming right at you, it the new zoo review coming right AT YOU".

i find it ironic that despite 2 strokes whacking out portions of my long term memory, this song remains strongly intact-god surely has a twisted sense of humor:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I still have the Magic Garden album from my kids childhood days! :goodvibes

Carole and Paula, I think?

I remember New Zoo Revue, but never heard of the other show. When I was a kid I loved the School House Rocks shorts.

Never haerd of Magic garden.
Love New Zoo Revue, HR Pufnstuf, The Bananna Splits and any thing that airred as a part of The Krofft Supershow.

While looking for the name of the Krofft Show I found that they filming Land of The Lost. sounds like it must be a motion picture based on the orgional series http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0457400/

Wow, I haven't heard Kimba the White Lion mentioned in a long time, but yeah, I do remember that.

I also watched a lot of the New Zoo review. I remember thinking that Doug was a geek, but Emmy Joe was really pretty. I never did like Henrietta Hippo though, I thought she was too obnoxious.

I also loved the Banana Splits. It was probably one of my favorite shows when I was a kid. I remember "Uh-oh Jongo", and Huckleberry Finn (I thought that Becky was cute), and squidly diddly, and always wanting to go to that amusement park that they showed at the opening.
I watched some of HR Pufnstuff, but not a whole lot. Was Sigmund the Seamonster also part of that same lineup? And who could forget Land of the Lost. I saw an episode of that not too long ago, and I couldn't believe how bad that acting was, but as a kid I thought it was so life-like.

Ahh, great memories. :thumbsup2

I loved the New Zoo Revue but that Miracle of Birth song is very strange. Does anyone remember the movie The Electric Grandmother??

I bought a $1.00 DVD a few years back of Kimba. Talk about bad...ugh. It reminded me of that japanese artwork stuff that is so popular now--kinda like Speed racer back then which I can't beleive is now a movie. My sister loved Speed Racer!

I loved all that you mentioned. Sigmund the Seamonster was on at my house every Sat. no matter what. We stop whatever to watch him! I loved HR Pufnstuff. I had a photo of Jack Wild on my closet door ( :headache: ) What can i say? I have too older sisters and bobby Sherman, Donny Osmond and David cassidy were already taken so I got Jack. :lmao: We also loved Land of the Lost.

Gosh, those were good times back then. We certainly were entertained by corny fun! :rotfl:

And, I can't talk about TV as kid without mentioning Gene London. I was taken with that whole show.

OMG! :faint: ........... I don't remember that episode.

I was more of a Great Space Coaster fan.

Loved the Great Space Coaster. Watched it every morning before school.

I also loved Magic Garden. Do Bee was the bee right? Or was that another show? I used to get upset when they said all the names at the end and my name was never said. I guess it wasn't common enough.

omg! I loved Magic Garden! And Kimba the white lion! Finally there are others who remember that show! I used to ask people all the time if they remembered kimba and they looked at me like I was CRAZY! LOL

Thanks for the memories....:goodvibes

I loved watching both shows!

I do and I remember Freddy Frog and Henrietta Hippo were my favorite characters. I don't remember Magic Garden, though. Maybe it wasn't shown where I lived?
