I have read many things about both hotels.

I am closer to NY because it is closer to the park and even 5 minutes is a difference for us.
Though I have some last questions before the big moment that I will finally make my choice

Which hotel has a better breakfast?

What can you do after the parks close at 19.00? Is there some happening in the hotel?

Do both have an indoor pool?

I've not stayed at the Hotel New York but you do get a hot breakfast there whereas at the Newport Bay Club it would cost 6.95 per person. Both hotels have indoor and outdoor swimming pools, however the NPBC one looks nicer.

The HNY is considered a more adult hotel just through the look and the feel of the hotel which maybe something to think about if you are taking children.

Nothin much happens in the hotels, they have the swimming pools, they also have gym's too. Most people tend to head to Disney Village after park closing and then maybe a hotel bar or two. There is always the Disney Channel in the hotel room, or even the "10 things to know before you go" channel with the annoying female presenter!!

Hello,

We have stayed at both but prefer the NYH.

It is just "classier" though the NPB is lovely as well.

The breakfast is nicer at the NYH you get some hot foods, whereas NPB you do not.

They both have pools and I am sure you do not have to pay for towels for the pool. The NY has an outside pool which is open in the summer months which turns into a skating rink in the winter season.

The NY is closer to the park as you say which after a day in the park does make all the difference.

I do not think anything happens in the hotel, you could go the cinema if you wanted. I think most people have a meal then possibly a drink at the bar area and then snooze!!!

Nevre stayed at NPBC but have stayed at NY and loved it. The breakfasts were good and it made a difference being able to get a hot breakfast that was free.

I'm booked to go in May and originally was booked into Newport. However, on Wednesday I phoned up and upgraded to the New York for an extra £38.40. The thing that probably did it for me was the fact that someone said you could go for breakfast at anytime between 7am and 11am (and it's hot ) as I'm really not a morning person and being confined to a specific breakfast slot didn't really appeal to me. I would have dealt with it mind you but it just seemed for the sake of £38, it's nothing really.

I don't know if you'll have kids with you but alot of people have said HNY is alot more "adult" orientated if that makes a difference. Doesn't bother us as it's only me and my boyfriend going anyway.

Have a look at the reviews on here and TripAdvisor.

We did the Newport back in 2006 and to be honest just found it to be a very normal hotel !! Nothing spectcular about it and when we went back in 2007 we stayed at Davy crockett which had a fab atmosphere and felt much more Disney orientated to me with much more magic.

This May we are staying at the New York and hoping for a good experience.

I booked the DISNEY'S HOTEL NEW YORK for 3 nights/4 days!!!!
I am very happy:dance3:
