New York hotels?

Being as we are now going to New York in December can anyone recommend a good hotel close to Times Sq? Last time we stayed at the Millenium UN PLaza and loved the hotel but want to be closer to Times Sq this time.

A few years ago we stayed at the Renaissance hotel which is actually on Times Square. It was a fab location & a really nice hotel.

I stayed at the Radio City Apartments last June and they are about 2 blocks up from Times Square.

I stayed in a studio apartment and my parents had a one bedroom one. Both were very clean plus had kitchen facilities with fridge, microwave etc etc.

Would highly recommend these apartments for their cleanliness, location and value for money.

Im staying in the Doubletree on times square now It has a great view of times square its right beside the tkts booth got a great price for it too
