Hi All

We are off to DLP on the 29th of November, staying for 4 nights at the New York Hotel.

I have a question, does anyone know what time the swimming pool and gym opens in the hotel?

Thank you
Lisa

Hi Lisa, we stayed at HNY last year but unfortunately the pool was closed (we arrived on Dec 1st). We're going back again this year and hurray the pool will be open. Last year I did hear a lot of people saying the pools weren't opening until 3pm due to cutbacks in staff but I don't know if that's the case this year.

Also any reviews I've read have said that the pool at HNY is extremely deep at 5 feet deep the entire length of the pool. I'm only 5 foot 4 inches so I'm a bit concerned about that. Can anyone shed any light on this thanks? (sorry Lisa, not trying to hijack your thread)

Paula

Thanks Paula,

We go on the 29th of November and according to Disneyland website it will be open.

The depth of the pool a little concerning because I'm only 5ft 4 and have a ds who is 6 and will want to go in. Also travelling with friends who have children of 6 and 8, so if anyone can confirm this that would be great.

Thank you
Lisa

It is a couple of years since we went to HNY but from what I remember it is deep all the way along (as are all the Disneyland Paris hotel pools - or the ones I have been to anyway). I am 5ft2 and cant usually stand up apart from on tippy toes. At the HNY the pool has a large steps area which is where my youngest liked to play as he wasnt swimming well last time we went there. But Disney do keep their pools quite cool and my 2 both turn blue very quickly. At HNY the jacuzzi is very large, lovely and warm and deep enough for small kids to really have fun in safely. There is a toddler pool as well but it is very shallow (ankle deep).
When we last went to Sequoia Lodge they had changed the opening times and it didnt open until 3pm. I think it stayed open quite late but we always went quite early. It is a shame because we used to like to go back to the hotel for a swim after lunch (when the park was full and the pool empty), but I guess thats why they changed the times.
Its not very specific or upto date info but I hope it helps a bit.:goodvibes

We went to davy crockett in August this year and the pool was only open from 3pm so we didn't get chance to use it, I know you are staying at another hotel but I'm sure I read somewhere all the pools apart from the disneyland hotel one now open from 3pm.

Hope this helps :)
