New York City?

Has anyone here been to new york city? im going for my first time next saturday and i want to know if there is anything special that i should look at besides like the statue of Liberty and groung zero and the empire state building? please let me know

SHOPPING!!!! The big Toys R Us, Madison Square Garden, The Museum of Natural History, the Met. And don't forget to see Times Square. There's also nothing like a NY pizza and hot dog from one of the stands. Have fun and wear comfy shoes.

OMG i LOVE NYC! I go there sooo often! I was there actually 2 weeks ago, to see Aida on Bway... if you can, see a broadway show. They are AMAZING!! and SHOP! oh, there are some GREAT italian resturants.. one of my favs is Tony's.. I think its on 47th... but have a GREATtime!

hmm definitely see a b'way show if you get a chance...aida is amazing, so is 42nd street. also a cool place is south street sea port...theres some good stores and stuff there, its a good tourist place. anyway have lotsa fun in ny!

oooh yea theres this reaaaallllly goood popcorn shop its called "popcorn indiana" its between 46th and 47th street on b'way. omg they have really good gourmet popcorn like caramel, cheddar, chocolate...mmmmm!!!

My mom is in NYC right now actually! I love just walking around NYC i think it is soo coool! Tomorrow is my moms birthday, and she will be seeing the Lion King that night. Isn't that cool? Im so jealous... ALSO eat ALOT of food, i love food lol!

I used to go to new york city every day for my job. Had to drive through was never fond of it but now that I don't go through every day I miss it. anyway In grand central station there is a place juniors, best cheesecake you will ever find. walk around down there for 5 mins and you'll find plenty to do. have fun it is the greatest city in America.

Thanks so much for all the ideas. Actually our schedule is really booked so there is not a lot of time for me to things however i do get a day to see stuff like the statue of liberty and i get another day to go to stores and places like trl and stuff like that. Also i failed to mention that im going witn my schools drama club so we are seeing a Broadway play ever night except for one on that night we are going to see Blue Man Group. and i think we get to have a drama lesson in Central Park i can't wait!!!!

Have a great time!!! I love NYC I go there at least twice a month..I live 30 min away. Everyone mentioned all the great places to visit. My favorite place to visit is Times Sq its soo much fun. You will never want to leave.

i'm from NYC.. if youre a tourist, see a broadway show- it's a must. probably something like Rent or Aida... you also probably wanna hit up TRL if youre gonna be here on a weekday.. check out the MTV store they got some cool stuff... eat at Planet Hollywood [times square]... as you're walking around, you definitely wanna eat a big soft pretzel from a street vendor or a new york hot dog or knish... definitely something you can only find here... its gonna seem a bit overwhelming, but you'll get used to it... if youre gonna be here a while, take a ride over to brooklyn..
