New York Cabs

Hi

I am sorry if this is in the wrong forum (and I know it is off-topic!) but I was just wondering if anybody could help me...

We are a family of five and are visiting NYC this August...will any cabs allow five people? Even if one (5 year old) just sits on a lap?

Well, we've had six in a cab...DH sat up front by driver, DM sat in backseat with me, two DDs and my DN. My youngest DD sat on my lap. We were crowded, but it was raining and beat walking! lol I say it will be fine from my experience.

Great, thanks! I just had a vision of it being a strictly implemented rule by all cab drivers to refuse service to more than four people.
