I've been checking out the crowd calendars and week rankings for a trip we are planning. I use the ones on **************.net I am one of those early planners so we are talking 2019 folks, lol. So, I'm using this calendar for 2018 to get an idea of what 2019 might be like. The weeks of New Years, Presidents Day and even Thanksgiving all have a crowd ranking of 8 but New Years is ranked week 52 in order of best weeks to go, it's last:eek:. Spring break weeks have a crowd ranking of 10 and 11 so why are they more recommended than New Years. Is there a big difference in New Years week and Presidents? I actually wouldn't be arriving until Jan 2nd if we did it but will that make a difference. I like the resort prices better that week. Also we have done Presidents week many times so that crowd is nothing new for me. Advice and opinions please and thank you.

Kristi, my week rankings are for first timers who may never return. From the page, but bold added:

"These rankings are designed for first time visitors who do not know whether or not they will return.

"For visitors on a return trip, less concerned about ride closures or the peak of the hurricane season, the later January, early February, and September weeks would be ranked much higher."

That first week of Jan gets dinged for higher crowds at the beginning and ride closures at the end.
