I will stop making useless posts ... DOHHHH! already did one ... :thumbsup2

The Plan ..
10 lbs loss ... more time in the gym
Spend less
Eat better
Sleep more!

The new year starts with a big change for me. My wife is moving out tomorrow leaving the kids and I by our selves. So my resolution is to get over this tough time and make the kids and I stronger.

I've been there before back in 95 ... know what you are going through. Just remember that there are better times ahead!

I have the same resolution as many, not to make resolutions.

Here's some info on New Years Eve & New Years Day

If some of you raise a glass this evening have one in memory of 5 Canadians who lost their lives yesterday in Afghanistan.

The four soldiers have been named. Added by Ham Ham Dec. 31/09 @ 16:45 EST

In August 2007 two colleagues were injured in Afghanistan.

Every year I make resolutions and every year I fail at them. So this year I am refusing to make any- and I feel good about that! I am sorry to hear about your wife leaving. I can tell you honestly that way back when, when my mom left, it brought my DS and I much closer to my Dad. He became the one person that we could always count on. You will face tough times, and there will be crying, but just hug them and tell them it's going to be OK. You will survive this, and it does make you stronger. For the families in Afghanistan, my heart goes out to them b/c I can't imagine what they are going through.

:sad1: So very sorry. Hopefully 2010 will be the start of a new and wonderful path.

My resolutions are as follows:
-lose the rest of my baby weight and then some (DS born in Nov.)
-have more patience
-be more organized and tidy
-and finally to spend less (good one I stole from the OP)

My goals are simple, but challenging. Cut off meat and cane sugar (have become severelly allergic to both). Lose the 35 lbs that my doc has been bugging me to lose for the last year. Save up for our trip to DL in Feb/11. And finally and most important learn to take time out for myself apart from the kids and hubby and get caught up on the things I've been wanting to do for a long time. This will be easier now that we are in a larger house and have my own office to craft in.

My resolution is to eat better and lose weight. I saw pictures of myself at Christmas and thought I looked huge. Plus being a widowed Dad, I have to stay around a while for my kids.

My resolution is to get more fit. If I happen to lose weight along the way that will be a bonus but mostly I plan to get moving more and increase my strength.

You know I just realized that not only is this a new year, but a new decade.
Even more incentive to better ourselves.

To become the best Vegetarian cook in Alberta! :) hehehe, or at least have fun trying!
