New Years or Presidents' Week?

Can anyone give advice on which would be a better time to go? January 1st or Presidents' Week? Everything says the crowds are lighter in January but I wonder if this is really true. It is value season but I would think the Christmas vacationers would still be around. Our last trip in 2002 we went Presidents' week and it got more and more crowded as the week went on but wasn't unbearable. Anyone have any experience with these dates?

I think if your going after Jan. 1 that might work. I've been on Presidents week and it was pretty busy. So, I would say if it's after Jan. 1, I'd go for that.

Went 12/23/05 - 01/02/06.

Went to Epcot 1/1/06 during the Moring it was dead didnt pick up until noon. Then it still wasnt that busy.
