Just wondering if any of you veterans had any ideas of how I can get a room 12/31/03. I have tried online and by calling 1-407-w-disney and the only things they are quoting are GF and Poly both $500+ for the one night.

And the Swan/Dolphin has rooms available, but won't book less than three nights if the 31st is one of them!

I've never stayed "off property" before, and just want a one nights stay.

Any suggestions? I was wondering about DVC points but I've never tried that before and not sure how to go about it.

I would appreciate ANY suggestions...

Thanks.

You could check the rent/trade board, but unless someone has a reservation that they don't need, you are probably out of luck. And getting just one night this way would be hard. There is still a waiting list for members on Dec 31. You may have to go somewhere off site.

How about the DTD hotels??

Did you try any of the hotels Downtown Disney?

No, I've never stayed in one and don't know where to begin. Any suggestions?

We've stayed at the Wyndham Palace (very nice) and the Doubletree Suites (not bad).

If you try the Orlando Hotels and Attractions, you might get more info on them all.

I got one night at the Dolphin (a few weeks ago) for NYE on their website, not the Disney one.

All hail DreamsUnlimited! They got me a room at the Swan (I'm afraid to say how much). .

I've seen them advertised before but never used them. It took no time at all.

Thanks for all the help and Happy New Year!

Don't give up on WDW rooms. Keep calling CRO/WDTC every day- there is bound to be someone that cancels and a room opens. Also, keep trying the WDW website.

Another suggestion: try working through a travel agency. They sometimes have accessibility to rooms that the general public doesn't.

In the meantime. I have stayed at the Hilton in Downtown Disney (for business) and is nice. It was clean and neat!

Also, you could enjoy the deluxe resorts at a higher price room than you are looking for- if it fits in your budget.

Good luck !!!!!

There is a two night stay over NYE on eBay for the Boardwalk. Only 225$
