Sooooooo much to know and see and plan-------------we r first time dis board members and first time cruisers----------------there is a lot to know and see and plan. I am grateful for all of this info. I was wondering, has anyone ever done activities or transport or beach runs other than the planned ones by Disney-------things are sold out that we want to do. Thoughts?

There is a fb link to talk to other cruisers. There may be excursions that will be open when you get on the ship. I think some spots are kept open for people to fill on the boat and some people cancel them. Cruised a couple of times with Disney. Love it. If you book something off the ship just make sure you get back on time.

So it's below zero here in the frozen north and I sent my girls to the pool to learn how to snorkel. They are both very excited now. Yay!

Hi Keever!

The FE was closed a little while ago- but on the FB page there may be some others who missed the cutoff and want to do an additional one. Are you on Facebook?

I thought the FE might be closed. Oh well, she will have to save that for her next cruise!
Is there a DISmeet? If so, will let the family know. Maybe they can find some friends for the kids clubs at the meet.

Hi all! I haven't been on this thread much (and I'm not a facebooker), but I just have to report . . .

I packed my carry on bag today with my wine (all bubble wrapped) and my french press (got that tip from a previous fellow cruiser). One bag down and ready to go! So excited!!

Jodie - you should see our house. We have the hanging bags in the living room, suitcases in two bedrooms and the overnight bags on the floor of the bedroom. Clothes are scattered everywhere. This weekend will be some serious packing for us. Can't wait!

I'm impressed! I haven't packed clothes yet (the wine took priority - ha). I need to get the Christmas wrapping out of the way before I tackle that. I did take my DD13 out to Macys to shop for a formal dress the other night, which was a little mind boggling. Seeing her in that dress made me happy and sad at the same time. They grow up so fast - sigh. The 28th will be here before we know it!!

Hello everyone! It took what felt like forever, but my DD and I are finally confirmed to join you all on the Fantasy this NYE! We are very excited for our fourth DCL cruise (our first on the Fantasy!). I can't think of a better way to escape the cold Northeast than to celebrate with Mickey and friends!
