New Years Eve?

Has anyone ever stayed at any of the Universal hotels for new years eve? We will be checking out of The villas in the wilderness lodge at Disney on Dec 31 and thought it would be fun to got to Universal for 3 nights. Have never stayed at any of the hotels onsite before but figured our 2 teenagers would enjoy it there. I am sure it will be very crowded! thanks.

We have..and yes it is very crowded. City Walk is closed for a private party 21 and older only..until midnight..or a bit after.

The fireworks are spectacular. The parks stay open late for families to enjoy of course. Universal resorts and ammenities are outstanding.

We're going for Xmas/New years weeks, but my son is very afraid of fireworks. Any tips on where/when to avoid the fireworks?
