WE will be at the Dolphin arriving at 12 noon new year's eve. We will have a 4 y/o and a 7 y/o. We noticed that the parks are open until 1 am. Is that just for events?I was thinking how cool to take a nap and then go to the parks? Am I naive? Any suggestions?

The parks are open until 1am for all guests, but you may not get in if you wait too late. The parks -- particularly MK and Epcot -- will be PACKED, and the closer to midnight, the bigger the crowd. The parks regularly close at capacity on New Year's Eve. If you do get in, be aware that you'll be, literally, shoulder-to-shoulder with other people. Navigating will be a challenge, especially with two small kids, but it's doable. Just know what you're getting into! If you'd never consider taking the kids to the mall on the day after Thanksgiving because of the crowds, you'll probably want to skip the parks on New Year's Eve.
