We are flying in on New Years Eve morning and we want to make it to Magic Kingdom before they reach capacity. Any idea when they normally reach capacity? Also what special events are planned for MK that night?

Usually it's closed by about 10-11am. There will be special NYE fireworks at 11:50pm that night.

What about Epcot? Anything special for NYE and do they stay open past midnight?

yep, 10 am the past few years.

Yes, 10am, but (either last year or year before) they did reopen at least once after that before shutting down again afaik. I wouldn't risk it though. Get there early and stay.

Epcot was open all day long.
