We will be at DLP for NYE (which I'm really excited about!). I'm just wondering, what sort of festivities are there? I'm guessing there will be fireworks? Also, we're not sure what to do about food. I know that they do special NYE meals at selected restaurants, which we would like to do if there are still places available. If we can't get in, will the counter service places be open?

I'm sure they have fireworks. I'm also sure they will have some counter service open still. Warning though that if the past few years are anything to go by the place will be packed. My friend went a couple of years back & said whilst she is glad to have gone for NYE she would never do it again & she loves Disney

Thanks Nikki. I know it's going to be packed but we've been enough times to not worry about getting on rides etc. The atmosphere will be good hopefully. :goodvibes

my now DH proposed to me 2 years ago this coming new years eve at DLP. It was RAMMED but everyone was in very good spirits. There had champagne to buy for something like 10 euros a glass (OMG!). It was freezing cold too. Booking a meal would be a good idea to get a bit of respite from the cold and the crowds :)

Hi Robyn, it's nice to hear from someone who's been there on NYE! Would you say it was a good night overall? Were the fireworks good? :)

How amazing that your DH proposed at DLP! Where did he do it?

he did it just to the right of main street. the fireworks were amazing but i have to admit i was a bit preoccupied so didnt pay that much attention. The atmosphere was amazing the whole day, everyone there was in good spirits and even though it was packed, it was fab!
