New Years Eve

If we decide to stay away from the parks what are some fun things to do on NYE. We were thinking of Spirit of Aloha, we have never done this one. We have done Hoop Dee Doo the last two trips.

We are hopefully going to go to Cirque du Soleil, but are still waiting to see if they offer tickets for that night. Right now their schedule only goes to December 22nd.

I'll be flying in early in the morning on the 31st, so we will not be going into the parks, we are staying at the Coronado Springs, so we will be chillin by the pool with a margarita and afterwards are have diner at Rainforest Café around 6:00 pm, will walk around and go back for a nightime swim... can't wait to start my vacation.... Hope to see some of you there!!!!

If you have not been to CSR you will love it. We stayed there in June and it was great. We tried to change from AS Sport to CSR in Dec/Jan but CSR was all booked so we are trying POFQ instead.

We fly in on the 30th and are not going to do anything that night except eat at Boatwrights. We are leaning toward Spirit of Aloha for New Years.

Although Circue De Soleil sound like a good idea also. Any other suggestions?

I've read on www.allearsnet.com that a lot of people go to the Boardwalk resort to enjoy the NYE festivities and the countdown to midnight... they have a lot of good restaurants there and entertainment on the Boardwalk... you can also see the fireworks from there... hope that helps.

and it is my first time at CS, so I'm excited to ring in the New Year there.

A few years ago, we were at WDW for NYE and we went to Epcot. It was fantastic! The whole park was festive. There was a big band set up in FW and another one in WS. They passed out party favors and they had stands selling champagne and other libations! The fireworks spectacular was amazing! I would do it all over again.

Maybe you could get an ADR for dinner there too!

I was at the travel agent yesterday booking all of our dinner reservations, and as of right now Cirque du Soleil do not perform on Sundays/Mondays? So we are going to the show on the 30th leaving us with what to do on NYE. Our agent suggested dinner at Epcot, we have reservations at a steak house in Canada. I am glad to hear that it was a great time. I can't wait.

I am flying in early on the 31st and staying at Coronado Springs Resort myself. I am not sure what I will do for NYE, as I am sure I won't have much energy to deal with the crowds in the parks all day and night. I will be flying in from Hawaii, so I actually leave on the afternoon of the 30th and then have an overnight flight from LA. This will be my first trip to WDW so I am definitely looking forward to it. I imagine I will attempt to visit one of the parks early in the day, but your idea of chillin poolside with margarita in hand may actually be a better idea.
