New Years Eve...worth it for a 16 yr old boy?

My family will be staying in Orlando, not at Universal Hotel. Trying to find something for New Years Eve that will be enjoyable for my 16 yr old son. Does Universal have an evening event?

I don't know if there is anything at the parks, Studios is open until 1 AM. CityWalk has a over 21 party from 8 PM to 2 AM (separately ticketed).
