Hi everyone!

I know this is a long way off, but we cant wait to be at DisneyWorld for New years were planning already!
We were just wondering which park everyone would recommend for New Years Eve. Am I right in thinking that MGM has a special fireworks display, is it only shown on New Years Eve? Also do any of the other parks have special fireworks or are they the same as normal?

Any comments and thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks alot

Michael

We just spent our first NYE in Epcot and it was great. Epcot is huge and absorbs the crowd well. I didn't get to MGM on NYE but I think they do have bands and entertainment. Epcot had bands too!

MGM has a special fireworks show called Sorcery in the Sky that they do on certain holidays. I saw it last Fourth of July. I thought it was nothing special, although I hear it was better before they put in the big-a hat.

Right now I believe I will be spending New Years Eve in Epcot. Sounds like a drink around the world night if there ever was one. Besides, I'm staying at the Beach Club, and walking back will be easy!

I'm thinking about MGM....but forgot about the availablity of drinks at Epcot....I just might change my plans.....The bands will be fun at MGM......Good thing to think about...and it is never too soon...I've begun my reserch and decisions things that I want to do...

A lot depends on where you are staying. We will be at the BCV's. So our family is deciding between MGM and EPCOT. Last year we were at the BWV's for New Year's and went to EPCOT because we were told we could pretty much come and go through the International Gateway entrance all evening. Well it poured with rain, so most people only went.

We were thinking about staying at the Grand Floridian, which is obviously closer to MK. Does much extra go on at MK or is it just the same with there normal fireworks display at midnight?

Any thoughts on MK I know all the parks will be busy, but coming from England we wont get chance to go back at New Years again for quite some time!

Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks

Anyone have any information on the Rock and Roll buffet at Epcot? Someone mentioned it on another thread and I would really like to learn more about it.
Our anniversary is NYE and I've always wanted to celebrate at Disney.
thanks!

We were at Epcot for New Year's Eve 2002-3 but started the day at MGM. Touring at MGM was great and then we left for Epcot via boat around 4pm. We entered WS and it was very crowded. They handed out noise makers and hat around 6pm then it was wall to wall people. we toured around Japan, Germany and then the rains hit as we were eating at Teppanyaki(we had PS and still waited almost an hour). they had alot of outdoor bands playing and music everywhere but we did leave before the fireworks because it was ankle deep in water all around. I may have stayed at MGM to see Socery in the Sky if I was to do it again. MK(I was told the next day) was very crowded and closed the park to folk by late afternoon if not sooner. all three parks have something special in fireworks to offer. The rock and Roll buffet at Epcot is housed in the building between UK and Canada. There is a fixed price for kids and adults and there are live bands and kids activites. We chose to just tour the park. Dolphin/Swan also had a special dinner and kids/adult activites that night also.
