New Year's Eve...what are the chances?

i just booked a tent site for January 1-13, 2018. We really want to come in on the 30th or 31st of December. What are the chances a tent site will open up between now and then? Thanks!

Well, Heather, given the fact this is early March I would say the chances are very good if you are persistent about checking for vacancies or cancellations every day. You can check online for arrival on 12/30/17 and departure on 01/01/18. It should work because when I plug those dates in and leave it open to all resorts, it shows vacanies and availability in other WDW properties. I was worried that the "next year" system issue might slow you down until rates were set for next year this summer but that does not appear to be an issue.

So keep checking and calling several times a day - be persistent - and I'm confident you can eventually get those dates.

PS - my DD who applied for DCP finally moved out of "In Submission" and passed the Web based review and had her phone interview yesterday for 2017 Fall Advantage (or just Fall if she can't get Advantage). I'm REALLY hoping she gets any kind of offer (she applied for just about anything except for a few things like lifeguard - but even QS, Housekeeping, and Custodial (her Mom and I chuckled at the last two)). If she doesn't get an offer, she'll be crushed - it's been such a big dream for her the last few years. We have our fingers crossed.

That's fantastic Bama Ed!! Hoping with you that she gets an offer! My DD is housekeeping and she was disappointed just a bit at first. But as it turns out, she's working 4pm-midnight as a runner, and she loves it! She's working the all-star resorts and loves the team she works with. She's truly having the time of her life. So let you DD know that even the "worst" jobs at Disney, are still AT DISNEY! Lol!

Have to say FOLLOW BAMA ED's ADVICE. Our trip for the holidays last year got cancelled while we were on our way down due to major mechanical problem. Called our TA and asked her to rebook for this year. She got us all of what we wanted except Dec 27/28/29 Two hours ago I got a call from her saying she got those dates for us as well Moral of the story just keep on trying everyday and early in the am before someone else jumps on it
