does Epcot have any special fireworks on NYE?
I assume they're at midnight?? I do have a 7:45pm Rose & Crown which has worked in the past as a nice spot to sit and watch Illuminations.
Also, why do you feel it's the "go to" place? I'd value your opinion.
Yes.
Epcot is THE go-to park at WDW for NYE.
I agree, but when we did it we regretted it because it was so packed we literally could not move. We had young kids at the time and it was a bit scary. W/O the kids would have been less stressful. They had closed entry earlier due to the Epcot being full then they reopened access.
The Magic Kingdom hit Phase 3 in 2010, but I can't find any evidence that Epcot has experienced any level of closure in the past 10 years. This was 2010. They at least werent letting in offsite for several hours. We were at the Sheraton the first two nights then AKV...
Do they open extra food and drink booths? Are there special souvenirs?
We went to MK one year and it was miserably crowded. Epcot sounds more appealing.
This will be our first New Year's Eve and we have also planned for MK on the 30th and Epcot on the 31st. We are so excited!!! Any tips on good viewing areas and how long in advance should be be in our spot?
