OMG Marla! You may not know me, but I've seen you on the Dis TONS of times, and I almost feel like I know you. From your posts, you seem like a fun lady, and I'm so looking forward to getting to know you while we wait for the cruise! Read all the posts if you can...there's an abundance of info about us on this thread!

We're going to have a nice group of teens, my own son DS 16 by cruise time, included!

To all our other cruisers who haven't posted lately, I hope all is well with you, and that you jump in from time to time, or even day to day!

Aisling....how was the haircut????? and how about the group of kids?

Let Jesse know that Ryan is getting (as a surprise from his mama) the
halo3 game tomorrow night......:yay:

Brenda, my haircut turned out ok. A lot was cut, and it barely touches my shoulders. I had Chad take several pics of me, but honest to goodness I can't get them uploaded! I promise I'll work it out somehow. The pics show up on the camera, but not on the memory card! Tig, any guesses what that could mean?

Anyway, I do have some pics to share from Saturday.:goodvibes

I caught a cruise ship leaving the West Side port on my way home.

My street, E. 59th. NYC does have nice residential areas, but walk a block or two, and there are the tall buildings again. I should have taken a pic in the other direction, where the Empire State building can be seen, but I was driving, and I didn't want to crash!

And finally home sweet home.

I lucked out this year with not too many students, and a nice bunch!

Tig, I found the hair pics, but they'll only load halfway in my photobucket. I sent them to your yahoo. Can you help, please?

Good morning,

I'm on my way to have my hair cut for Locks of Love,

Can't wait to see it. Molly has been thinking of doing this too, but she isn't ready to party with her hair just yet. It's such a noble cause.

This afternoon starts the first day of religion class, and I'll be teaching again for the 8th year, 5th grade. Every year I always say it'll be my last, but then I feel God tugging at my heart to continue. And you can't fight God. Well, you can try, but you always lose!:rotfl:

don't you know it. when I'm sad I often think of how blessed I am and that gets me outta my funk...God at work once again I'd say.

Nan, Mass is being said for your mom at this very moment by 2 priests, my dear friend Casey, and our parish priest Fr. Charlie, that all will go well tomorrow. Please call me if you need to.

I've been trying to stay busy all day. I had tons of work to do and bills to pay for us, mom and a client. Just got done (yes it's past midnight) and came in the house to find your lovely and kind words. I'm so grateful you have asked to have a Mass said for mom. I'm not Catholic, but Paul is. We were married at Santa Clara in the Mission and even though I didn't plan on raising the kids as a Catholic I wanted them to be baptised as such. And they were, Molly at the Mission too and Wilson at Saint Leo's Paul parish church by our old house. I've feel a strong kinship with many priests in my life, more so than any I have felt with our churchs' ministers, so again I'm so grateful for your request for us. I'm crying myself silly now, so I better sign off. As we hear news tomorrow Paul will send an email to my list. So please post for me here to share and also on the repo thread (I know I'm a trader) but you see I always as my friends here to go tell them not the other way around ya know :rolleyes1

LYMI,

Nan

Wishing - hoping & praying for the very best results today Nan!!!

great photos Aisling...hope you can get the others uploaded & posted; Colleen has probably left by now for FL......

Have fun Colleen!!! And you too Rose~

Ayup

At the airport now, just catching up. Stuck in a looong security line...

Rose and me are in seperate terminals so I won't are her again til she lands

Lots and lots of hugs to ya Nan!!! Ly girl mi!

Aisling, if anybody can figure out why the pics are not loading, I would think chad can. I have no idea off the top of my headwhat is wrong

Today, my hair is looking better, and I'm really happy with it. You can't see in the pics, but it was cut in layers, and now the layers are starting to flip out here and there, and it looks like a style! I never had a real "hair style" before, just long straight hair.

I'll get another pic up later, now that Chad has figured it out for me, and I won't be embarrassed to show it, since it looks good now! I was told that my hair was going to be used for a 5-year old girl bald from chemo. My hair color was a match for her, but they wouldn't give me more info. I really didn't need to know who the hair was going to, just as long as it make a little kid feel better about themself at this difficult time for them.
God bless those poor kids and their families! I think I'd go insane if I were a parent of a deathly ill child. God forbid.

Brenda, I told Jesse about Ryan getting Halo3 today. What a good mama you are to make it a surprise! These games are so freaking expensive, I told Jesse he'd better earn it by keeping up with his homework!!!!

Your hair looks adorable!

My hair is too big to look good that short, trust me, I've tried it.

Can you imagine the wig a kid would get if I did locks of love? Send me some info when you can, at least if I do cut it off it'll go to a very worthy cause.

Gtg boarding time!

Aisling....it IS SO CUTE!!!! can't wait to see the other photos....where you've styled it yourself!!! and if i was to cut bangs again - we would have matching hair styles!!! but thought i'd try them longer for awhile....

You know there is one little gal out there who is definitely going to love 'your' hair!!!!

Tig.....i can only imagine what your hair would be like cut short...OMG...wild & crazy for sure! I only wish i had THICK hair like yours!

He will get the game tonite...but not till after all the homework is done! I'm sure he'll be really surprised...i don't do that kind of thing too often.....:rotfl: but i'm sure he will really look forward to playing it all weekend...probably will be sad that he has a football game Friday night & "back to school" dance Sat night...that will just reduce his playing time:lmao:

Good Morning All,

Nan - You and your mom are in my thoughts and prayers.

Aisling - I love your hair cut and you have done such a wonderful thing. Thanks for all of the pictures. You all looked like you were having such a great time.

:welcome: Marla, Kara, Anjelica, Shannon, Sydney & Sean.
WOW! We will have such a great group of people. My Step Son Aaron will also be 17 when we cruise.

All is well with me. I colored my hair last night and it is now Auburn for Fall and Winter. I need a haircut because I have horrible split ends so I'm going to have them cut 2 inches off (maybe more). Jeff won't be too happy about that but TOUGH!!!!!!

We have a couple of busy weekends ahead of us and I'm so looking forward to them. Tomorrow night I'm going out for drinks with a friend, Saturday Jeff and I are spending time with friends who just had a baby (baby fix!) and then Sunday we are going to a Pablo Cruise concert. This group is from Marin County and as a Teenager we went to all of their concerts. They are still together and we saw them last year but it sure can make you feel old. They are still fun to listen to and watch and the lead is a cute Phillipino and so he will never look old. It is so funny to see all of us old (teenagers at heart), people dancing around to an old band. :hippie: But, I love it! Next weekend is Fleet Week in San Francisco and Jeff will be hunting (YEAH! weekend to myself), I have a 20 something friend here at work and we are going to see the 1st Marine Division's Big Band play and then I'm thinking that bar hopping sounds like fun. I haven't done that in a long time. On Saturday my boys and I are going to a family get together and we will be celebrating my dad's 70th birthday. I have a hard time thinking of him being that old. Then on Sunday I want to find a place to watch the Blue Angels do their air show over San Francisco Bay. Wow! that sounds like a lot. I better get my house cleaned tonight.

I hope you all have a good weekend.

I must say you guys are a very active bunch with all the posts - I haven't even gotten close to reading all the posts (still working on recovering from our cruise last week in terms of work/home stuff, etc.). Just wanted to say sorry before hand if I ask or state anything that has already been stated because I haven't gotten through all the posts yet.

One question I did have - is there a central location for who is on the cruise, etc.? If not I have a family website (which as usual I have had no time in getting together) where we can upload items about the cruise (i.e. who is doing early/late dining, who is doing fish extenders, etc.). Let me know your thoughts and I can try and put something together in the next 3-4 weeks (still got tons of cruise laundry to do).

Hi Anjelica
Did you check out the 1st page? In fact - you are there. There are quite a few of us that cruised together in 2005 & Tiggerwannabe (Colleen) had put together a spread sheet. She may be very busy this year. You could talk to her & between the two of you you could do your thing.

Anjelica, the first page list has only basic info about the Magic Mateys (us!) If you have time during the coming countdown year, I think it's a cool idea for us to have a website for more detailed info. How nice of you to offer!
If it's too much work for you, no worries, we'll make due. But a website with all the info wold be easier to access than searching through all these pages. By the time we cruise, with the way we've been posting, we're going to have thousands of pages!!!!:rotfl:

Debbie, wow, you're gonna be a busy girl this week! Good for you! I'd like a trip report on your bar outing with your friend!;) :thumbsup2

Nan, if you're reading, please let us know how your mom is doing!

Does anyone know when Kaz (Karen) is coming home from her cruise? I can't wait to hear how her vow renewal went. Kazzie, please post some pics!!!

I'm making a public call for tennis fanatics on our cruise, so I can tell Mel he'll have an instant friend on board!!!

To our lurkers, come on and jump in!
