i also woundered if any one knew that the cruise ships would still be decrated for christmas?/

Everyone's name is on page one...

I requested late dining, we eat late dinner's already so this suits us quite nicely. I think Nan requested late dining, as west coasters it winds up being normal dinner time for them anyway.

I'd like to know what everyone else requested and who has the same dining rotation as us, Tiffany has brought forth my enquiring mind :scratchin
Jeff, Aaron & I have late dinning. I don't like to have to rush to get ready for dinner and from dinner we go right to the Rock'n D Bar.:cool1:

I hope that all of our Dad's had a wonderful Father's Day. We had a very yummy Surf & Turf barbeque and I baked apple pie's which are my Dad's favorite. He of course, took one home with him.

On Saturday we helped my younger son move out of and clean his apartment. It was so gross!!!! He will be moving in with Jeff and I and I think he expects his mommy to wait on him. I let him know it wasn't going to work that way and that he would have to get his life in order while he is living with us. This boy needs a little more guidence before he gets out in the world again. :sad2:

Does anybody know, if it is possible to have a group of people request the same dining rotation?

Jade, on our Christmas cruise, we got off the ship on Dec. 30th, as we debarked, we saw CMs blowing up tons of gold balloons, getting ready for NYEve. I didn't see any of the Christmas decorations coming down, so I suspect they'll still be up until after the New Year's cruise is over.

I remember in the Poseiden Adventure movie, it took place on New Year's Eve, and they still had the big Christmas tree up. LOL, that's my only other "experience" with cruising!

Brenda, wow, Seascape looks beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing your photos. Did you stay until sunset? I can imagine how relaxing it would be to watch the sun set over the Pacific. Not to insult my Atlantic Ocean, LOL, but the Pacific has so much romance attached to it.

Debbie, OMG you crack me up!
On Saturday we helped my younger son move out of and clean his apartment. It was so gross!!!!

Karen, what a coincidence! I was just looking at that Disney set on ebay! Ever since I found out I can't copy YouTube videos I've been looking at buying some new WDW DVDs.

Tig and Nan, have you two run off to China together? Where are you??:hippie:

Edited to add:
Debbie, yes, you can certainly link dinner seatings with other cruisers. I'm hoping that all of us late seaters will have tables close to eachother, imagine how much fun that would be. But no pressure on anyone to be linked to us. I understand that some might prefer not to have too much Dis togetherness. Don't worry, I know you still love us!

cool cool im looking forward to it all and hoping wdw will have christmas decrerations uop still in jan lol

 I am here...lurking...

Besides doing my normal "home" stuff this weekend, hubby and I went out Saturday night to a "Mooseapalooza." We went to see our friend's band play and met my sis and bil there, it was alotta fun.

John had a wonderful Father's Day. His Dad went to the beach all day. Hubby and me went to the flea market early and then came home so he could relax while I went out shopping for the house. I picked up a hammock chair at Target, he was quite happy about that. Today he's coming home with some "pool rope" to hang it. He cooked dinner on the grill, changed the oil in my car and waxed his.

I was working on my Magicmeets volunteer list. I have over 30 people helping with this year's Disney Fans Gathering...of course we have 500 coming. Fred and I have about 26 days left and lots to do yet~

Colleen, tell us more about this Disney Fan's get together you are working on. It sounds like a blast!

I can tell you Aisling wil be there and my Mom has gone...

The website is on magicemeets.com

It's the brainchild of a guy named Fred, for real. He got the idea about 4 years ago, posted on the DIS inviting New Jersey fans to come to a banquet room in Edison for an area gathering of Fans who love Disney. I went. That gathering brought about 40 people together, Pin Trader Rick and Author Lou Mongello.

The second year Fred moved the event to more central location (Allentown, PA) and invited folks to a Northeast Area Disney Fans Gathering. That one brought in about 150 people and a half dozen authors and internet Disney Gurus like Deb Wills of WDWIG.com or Allears.net as most know her site.

Fred was going crazy trying to run the whole thing by himself. I stepped in early and offered my assistance. Fred said I was such a HUGE help that year that he asked me to be his "General" and help him run the next event.

The third year the gathering grew again, this time it sold out. We ran outta room! I forget if it was 250 or 300, but it was alotta people! We had a dozen authors, website Gurus and Radio Personalities at last year's meet.

I was put in charge of the staff. Fred and I decided what "jobs" we needed filled and I went out to all the Disney websites and recruited about 20 people. Fred upgraded the registration system from paper to pc and we created a kids room so when the little ones got bored they had another place to go instead of running around the banquet hall while we have presenters speaking.

This year Fred had to move the venue. It is close to Hershey PA. Fred rented a convention hall in Camp Hill PA. We sold out of 500 tickets in a matter of hours. Not only do we have alot more guests, and alot more speakers and presenters, it's gonna be off the Hook!

I am again in charge of the staff. We have around 30-35 volunteers, a few new jobs and an even better computerized registration system. The kids room will be used again, it helped. alot. The change in there will be the Magician Fred hired and the outside babysitter he is bringing in to watch them.

Aisling is coming with her family, my threadkiller friend Dalpal (or Betsy) and her husband are coming, Disunc is coming too and bringing his nephew James (anyone who ventures out on the Trip report forums or Community Board may have met him.) My friend Rose and I are going.

It is a blast, I am very proud to be a part of it. For as much as I do, Fred does ALOT more! He puts the event together with money paid to him by the attendees. He gets lots of prizes to give away and has taken money from his own pocket to help pay for the meet.

My favorite part, is the fact that I get to spend quality Disney time with other Nutballs just as crazy and some crazier over Mickey and Walt as I am.

Beautifully Happy Memories Cal!

Send a welcome to your co-cruisers for us too please~

I am the other Colleen of which my Mother speaks. We are Burlington County, right along the Delaware River in what I call central Jersey.

My friend Rose is *constantly* trying to get me to cruise other cruise lines, she has never cruised Disney and I am afraid just doesn't get it. She swears Disney is no different from the others...I refuse to cruise any ship other than Disney. If I have to force my husband onto the ship (which I do-he's got a severe fear of getting seasick cause he gets sick on fishing boats) I am going to make it worth all our while and force him onto a Disney ship!

My first cruise was with my Mom and DD and Rose's DD in 05, on the 7 day Eastern. We met alot of the folks posting here on that cruise. We have also met alot of new folks here on this thread that all seem just as awesome as the first set. I look forward to spending New Years with all of you~

Happy Friday Fellow Cruisers!

Thanks so much for the welcome and we'll be sure to tell Colleen and Drew. We keep them updated on whats going on, on the boards. We normally gather at their place on the weekends having good eats, swimming, and always conversation about Disney, all afternoon, whether it be parks, shows, or cruising.

We have requested the 1st dinner seating, for us, it makes way for snacking later in the evening. The last cruise we had 2nd seating and could not eat after dinner, and missed out on all the sweets later in the evening.:lmao:

Nan - have a wonderful AND SAFE trip - enjoy every moment!!!!

Colleen, WOW!!! Thank you for telling the story about the Magic Meets. It's amazing how much Fred & you have accomplished in such a short amount of time. It sounds like a great time. Please post some pictures. I also love the "Magic Mates." it's simple and includes everything.

Nan, have a safe and wonderful trip to China. I hope you will post some pictures when you return. My Dad always gets sick  after being on long flights and I have suggested that he take Airborne for a couple of days before and the day of the flight. He's a man and he hasn't listened, but it's a good idea.

Jeff and I are headed to Fort Brag and Mendocino this weekend for our 3 yr. (from the date we met) anniversary. We are staying in a beautiful bed & breakfast and riding the Skunk Train. I will post some pictures next week.

OMG, I just noticed that there have been some new smilies added. Get a load of this one! Yes my mind is in the gutter!

Just checked out the website for your Magic Meets....very cool - LOOKS like SOOO much fun...would love to go some year - but really hard to get away in June - July; will have to watch upcoming events.....

My kind of folks!:thumbsup2

That's good thinking! Remember the Midnight Dessert Buffet? (We need a Yummy Yummy smilie here!)

Just wondering, do you drive to Florida, or fly down? Judging by the December airline tickets to MCO for this December, I hope they aren't as bad next year for the cruise flight down. For our 2005 cruise, I paid $160 roundtrip from JFK to MCO on Dec. 23rd on Delta. This year, so far the fares have been $400 average roundtrip.
