Hi folks,

We REALLY want to go to DLP just after Xmas this year and be there through New Years Eve....

A couple of questions...

1. Can we book yet? And who is cheapest to book through?

2. Is it worth being there for New YEars Eve, or is it same as any other day at DLP (still great obviously!)

LOL...not sure thats really a 'couple of questions'...:rolleyes1

You can't book yet! I would suggest to book direct with Disney.

And we have been there 2003/2004 and the parks will be very very crowded!
You should expect waitingtimes like 120 min for BTM, SM2. And more than 70 min for POTC and Star Tours!

And if you want to be in a restaurant for dinner you have to spent at least 150€ per person!

blimey....doesnt sounds like quite so much fun to me!

thanks for letting me know...we would have 2 families with 3 young (3, 3 and 6 yrs old) with us...doesnt sound like the best time to go then

It is busy......be prepared for that. For me though...it's well worth it. The atmosphere is incredible! You can always go for counter service food and you'll be fine. I spent NYE 05 and 06 there (spent last new year in Epcot...lol!).

I would certainly give it some thought. :wizard:

on the verge of booking to arrive in DL on NYE but having read this i think i'll change my mind! can anyone advise what crowds are like in the few days after NYE? im thinking maybe jan 2-4th? thanks!

Hi,

I was there 2006 into 2007 , we booked through Travelcare and it cost £1400 for my family of 2 adults and a 11 year old staying in Cheyenne and flying from Southampton with 3 days in the park and breakfast included.

The days before and after new years are very quiet but New years eve is party time. It took nearly 2 hours to walk from the castle to the square after midnight. Don't bother trying to eat in the restaurants on NYE, just grab some chips etc as there isn't any queues. All rides are manic apart from haunted house which we walked straight on even at 11pm.

It is magical and well worth doing once but doesn't even compare to Orlando for weather and 'showiness'

We are off to do Halloween in Orlando this year.
