Good Day All from the UK, I need your help!!!!!

My Husband, my two young sons aged 1 and 3 and myself, of course, are due to arrive at WDW this coming December to experience our first taste of Disney and the american hospitality.

We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Resort and am just puzzled as to whether or not I need to book anywhere for the New Year's Eve celebration ie restaurant, shows etc.

Anyone got any tips ?.

We have been for the past 2 NYE's and if you want to eat at any sit-down restaurant for NYE-you definitley need PS. Make them at 90 days and they will ask for a CC because it is a holiday. You can cancel by 48 hrs without a penalty. If you plan on MK for that day, be prepared to go early and stay until your PS. The past 2 years, it has been closed to all guest(including resort guests) by 10am. It is also wall-to-wall people that day. If they hit this capacity, it doesn't matter if you have a ps or not..you can't get in. We choose to be at Epcot for NYe 2002-3 and ate at Teppanyaki and last year we went to MGM and ate at Brown Derby. If you call at 90days and the official park hours arenot out yet, they will only let you make a ps until the earliest closing time. Last year at 90 days they said all they had for BD was 5:45pm, the latest. The next day I called and had my choice upto 11:00pm because the hours were out. With such young kids, this probably won't be a problem for you.

You could do a park and then eat at your resort, but still make ps at 90 days.
