New Years Celebration on 12/30 ?

This will be our first Christmas trip to WDW . We will not be in WDW on New Years Eve (12/31). I remember reading Magic Kingdom has a fireworks display along with countdown the night before New Years Eve on 12/30 at 12:00am.
Is this true? Would greatly appreciate any information about pre New Years Eve celebrations in WDW .

At MK on both Dec. 30 and 31, they offer a New Years Party.
(Party hats will only be handed out on Dec. 31)

• Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade – 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
• Main Street Electrical Parade – 7:00 p.m.
• “Celebrate the Magic” Castle projection show – 8:15 p.m. and 11:35 p.m.
• Holiday Wishes Fireworks – 8:30 p.m.
• New Year’s edition of Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks – 11:50 p.m.
• A DJ dance party will take place in front of the castle

The 12/30 New Year's show at MK is spectacular. Identical to 12/31, but as pp said, no hats. Also a slightly lower crowd than 12/31. Still bonkers bananas, but definitely not as bonkers as 12/31's show.

We are planning to be there on the 30th. The park is open till 2am also that night!

Wow!! Thanks a bunch for all the information. So excited to celebrate our first Christmas and Pre New Years Eve in WDW! This is great...so glad they celebrate New Years on 12/30
