New Years at WDW advice

I have a problem with my trip to Disney World this year and am looking for advices.

11 month in advance I reserve our room at Kidani from Dec 27th to Jan 6th. I that time one of my sisters also booked a room at BWV 1br with 4 people. I asked other family members if they wanted to come with us. Only my niece and mom said they would go. This makes 5 in our 1br . (Me, DH, 10yr, 22 old niece and my mom)

We had been trying for years to get my niece’s mother to go with us on our annual trip. 6 mouths out my other sister committed to go coming in from Dec 30th to Jan 5th We had a 1br from the trip at that time and was able to switch to a 2br from the 2nd to the 6th. The 2br were of course booked from the 27th to the 2nd. I have waitlist the 2br but have not have any luck.

I don’t think there will be a big problem in us all fitting into a 1br for a few days. My worry is getting everyone in to the parks on New Years and for everyone to be able to attend extended magic hours. I tried to see if I could rent a campground space just for the magic band but they are booked. I can’t afforded the $200 for cash booking for the 31st for a room we would not use. Is there a way to add a 6th person to an AKV 1br or a 5th person to a BWV 1br? If I don’t have my child on the room will they still let him in for magic hours with me and on New Years?

Our plan is to be in Epcot on New Years and maybe going into Hollywood for extended magic hours and MK for the 30th extended magic hours.

Any advice would be helpful.

BWV 1BR has sleeping places for four but they allow five to stay in the room, but you need to bring your own bedding. Thus, you just need to call and add the fifth person to the reservation at BWV.
