New Year's/After Christmas activities at the resorts?

We will be in Disney from Dec 27-Jan 2. I want to try to do a no park trip so was curious if there are any fun activities to do at the resorts during this time period?
As far as New Year's Eve, I saw the special ticketed dining options for New Year's Eve but was hoping for something a little less elaborate and cheaper My kids love dance parties so thought maybe one of the resorts has a DJ and possibly a character on New Year's Eve?

I can only speak for Poly, but this past year they had a DJ and characters on the beach early in the evening on 12/31. It is for Poly guests only that night with strict enforcement. Can’t speak to any of the other resorts.
