New Year holiday flights?

Does anyone know when the airlines will lower their fares for flights over New Years? The cheapest I can find is $307/pp with bad connections, $540/pp for good flights.

We traveled at this time a few years ago, and paid $275 (great times, nonstop), which I can deal with.

Any idea when I should make sure I book by? August/September at the latest?

I booked my flight on Song from Boston to Orlando for $244.00. We are flying out on Dec. 27th and returning on New Year's Day. The flights are non- stop and great times for us. I booked as soon as the fare dates opened up. The price has risen to $324.00.The flights are really filling up so I doubt these prices are going to drop. Good luck............. I hate the air fare game!
