We are visiting Orlando during New Year's Eve but we won't be going to any Disney theme parks. However, we would like to watch Magic Kingdom's fireworks somewhere outside the park. Does anyone have any suggestions where we could accomplish this and what's a good time to arrive at that destination? I've seen that the Polynesian may close their resort and only allow resort guest or guest with dinner reservations (this is what accord last year). Thanks for your suggestions.

There is a ARD for a party of 4 for Dec. 30 at 9:40 pm at Kona that you could grab. Great place to eat and then you will be there for a reason. They do the same fireworks on the 30th as the 31st to my knowledge

The boat dock at the TTC lacks atmosphere, but it gives the best view and audio.

The new years fireworks should be at midnight on the 30th as well as the 31st

Do you know what time they do the fireworks on the 30th?

The “Fantasy in the Sky” fireworks show starts at 11:50PM on 12/30 and 12/31. There is a NYE countdown portion at midnight, followed by more fireworks.

There is also an early show at 6:30PM on both dates which will either be HEA or Fantasy in the Sky (the actual show has not been fully confirmed by Disney, although signs seem to point to HEA).

Hope that helps.
