new year advice needed

Hi All

I'm a newbie member & will be a 1st time visitor to Disney... Uber excited! My husband & I arrive on 31st Dec for 8 nights so will be there for new years eve & wondering where to go to celebrate. We're staying at PO Riverside but had to book 1st night room only as free dining plan only included from 1 Jan so our part tickets don't start til 1 Jan. I have booked Raglan Rd for dinner at 9.30pm as wan't to have a booking somewhere. Will this be a good bet to celebrate midnight? I'm 39 (40 by then, hence the dream vacation!) but we are young at heart & want somewhere lively to party til the early hours (being Scottish we like to celebrate hogmanay as we call it!) I have heard Boardwalk may have more nightlife than downtown so a bit confused. Any advice welcome

Hi and to DisBoards.

There is a procedure in place called "Early Package Ticket Pickup" which will allow you to get your tickets before your package start date. If you go to the locked sticky Everything About WDW Tickets in the TPA&S Forum, especially Post #15-I, you can get a lot more information. An easy way to get to the sticky is by clicking on the link in my signature.

And if you have a NYE reservation at Raglan Road you should be able to have a good time (if you can actually get in).
