I've got several questions and I'm not sure where to go with them all! If you can't answer them, can you tell me the right forum to go to with them please?

We're driving to WDW from MD in December 2011. Our departure day is 12-4 and we'll be heading home on 12-9. We've rented a minivan and our travel group will include: DH, myself, our almost 3 yr old, my mother and my 12 yr old nephew(who has ADHD and is developmentally and size wise more like a 7 or 8 yr old).

We plan to leave at our son's nap time, then stop for dinner and play time and head back on the road. We should arrive at WDW early Sunday morning raring to go!

Anyone know of some great stop places to allow the adults to stretch and the kids to work off some energy?

We got 4 day tickets but will be adding a 5th day and plan to have 1 down day. I want to do our ADR's next month when we hit our 180 day window. I'm sure some of our meals will be park specific or close to the park we plan to go to that day. We don't have park hoppers...so I want to be able to spend the day in the MK when we do Chrystal Palace for example. Since we're staying on propery, I want to take advantage of the EMH's each day. But I'm finding that the park hours and EMH haven't been released yet. Any help co-ordinating this part?

Has anyone seen Santa in DTD? Worth it?

Is Mickey's VMCP worth the additonal $60?

Thanks!

Susan

Perhaps stop at a fast food restaurant with a play area so they kids can run around and play for awhile. Sorry I can't help more than that.

2 words for your sanity: DVD PLAYERS!!! if you don't have them or the rental doesn't invest in them now. I hate it that our kids watch alot of tv/videos but on a 12-15 hour car trip its a lifesaver........ for me!

If you are coming down 95 (i think) in GA or SC (can't remember) check out south of the boarder its a kitchy tourist trap with some good diversions.

Park hours won't be out till 6 months from your date. You will find that most on the Dis agree that going to EMH parks will mean you will be in the more crowded parks. We have tested this theory several times and decided it is not worth it for the pm EMH's at all, am EMH's we do but we have park hoppers so we can run away when it gets crowded. Most people staying on property will be doing what you are, hitting EMH's every day with no hoppers so thats why it is more crowded.

We didn't, sorry can't help with that one but Santa is in the MVMCP parade so you can see him from afar.

yes, the party entertainment is the best way to get into the Christmas spirit. Special parade and fireworks are top notch. There are also exclusive charecters out to meet just during the partie and it snows on main street!

Hope this helps!
