New with a few ? I can't find the answers to here

Hi all,

I have been searching to find out answers to a couple of questions I have and I have been all over this board with no luck.

Hoping you experts can point me in the right direction.

1. So I might be renting DVC points and was wondering if I do that, can I still get park hopper tickets included and/or dining options?

2. If I purchase park tickets separately is it possible to purchase them at a Disney Store so I can purchase one at a time? Or is there a time frame you have to purchase them? Like only 14 days before arrival. Can you purchase the tickets when you arrive at WDW?

3. I am assuming that you can use Disney gift cards throughout the parks for souvenirs and food? Is that correct? I'd like to purchase them when I have extra funds available and for Christmas.

4. If I book separately, like just a room online and park tickets via Disney Store, etc... Am I able to get a price adjustment later on if the prices go down? Right now the website site says non discounted room rates and they are extremely high.

1. Did you check the DVC board?

2. Unused tickets never expire. You can buy them when you arrive, or you can purchase them ahead of time from Undercovertourist.com and save a little money.

3. About the only thing you can't use gift cards for is the vendors who walk around (like for instance balloon vendors).

4. If a discount comes out after you book, you can call and see if you can have it applied. There are a limited number of rooms available with the discount at each resort, so you may not be able to unless you're willing to adjust your dates, or your room category or even your resort.

1- tickets - you are on your own / dining - you can add the DDP in advance with no ticket purchase requirement, but you'd have to pay for the DDP in advance as well. (you cannot add the DDP at check-in.)

2 - you can buy early at a small savings from undercovertourist or mapleleaftickets, or buy when you get there.

1. Dining Plan: When renting points you can add the paid dining plan without purchasing park tickets. You would have to arrange the dining plan with the person from whom you are renting points and it has to be paid for at the time it is added. The deadline for adding the dining plan for a DVC points stay is 2 days before arrival. You cannot apply a free dining offer to a points stay.

2. You can purchase tickets at any time. If you buy them at the Disney Store the price will be the same as at the parks. Many purchase them from an authorized re-seller such as Undercover Tickets or AAA at a slight discount.

3. Gift cards can be used for almost all purchases. Some that do not take gift or credit cards are balloon sellers, the moving carts that sell light up toys, food sellers that walk through some of the longer queues or the aisles of the theaters. They are also not accepted at the Shades of Green, Swan or Dolphin except in the Disney operated gift shop.

4. If a special is offered after you book, you have to call to have the special applied to your room provided your resort/room category and dates qualify and there is availability.
