Hello! I was just wondering if anyone has been to the dessert party with the viewing in the Plaza Gardens. It started Oct. 1. I know it is just Oct. 2, but people on this website seem to be on top of all the newest Disney things, so I thought I would ask. I have been anxiously awaiting reviews to see if it is worth it.

bumping because I'm curious too - we have only 2 MK nights the week we are going due to MVMCP and I'm considering this as an option because I'm sure crowds those 2 nights will be insane...

I attended the first one, on October 2. You check in at the same podium at the Terrace that the other dessert party does. You get a different band, and are directed to a different part of the Terrace for treats and drinks. Seemed about the same, but smaller spread. Then, about 15 minutes before the castle light show and fireworks, you are lead to the plaza grass spot where the fast pass area was, on the right side of the walkway. It is roped off, but there are people not in the party that are in front of this grass area. It was a good view. Plus, it was raining, so they handed out those plastic rain ponchos as we left for the plaza. There was no assigned seating, but there seemed to be plenty of seats, and since you did not stay there to view, it did not matter where you sat. Would I do again, probably not. But if you want a lesser line to see the fireworks, and do not mind the cost, they I would say it is a good alternative to the 20 dollar more Terrace sit down one.

Thanks for sharing your experience!! I don't really love the view from the terrace so I think the lesser expense with the plaza viewing will be perfect for us...do you know if they allow strollers in the viewing area?

I'm sorry, I don't know if strollers were there or not. I don't remember seeing many kids that night.

Thank you for asking the question. I saw the choice online of either plaza or terrace and was confused as to the difference. Now I understand :cake:
