New Wish family- lots of questions

Hi there, I am Shirley. I just found out today that my daughter has been approved for a wish. She will request something Disney related and so I have a ton of questions. I have read through some of the posts since her referral and there are so many things I'm unsure of.

She is back and forth between DisneyWorld and GKTW or a Disney Cruise. I'm looking for pluses and minuses. My daughter uses a wheelchair sometimes, can't be exposed to extreme heat, and has younger siblings going with her. She can't use her hands and is unable to verbalize but she has a communication device. I'm just trying to help her figure this out. She is 9- we are super excited about this trip and we are looking at maybe next December. I 'm just totally overwhelmed- and super excited. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is the DISboutique? I saw a couple of posts about it but wasn't sure what it was. Where should I start in the forums? Thanks

I would recommend the DISabilities forum for tips on mobility in WDW on the cruises, etc. The folks over there are super helpful and know lots of stuff that will be able to help you out.

Maybe check out the trip reports board for some reports of trips. If you find one or two that looks great share it with your DD. It could help her understand what WDW is more about and give her a taste of some of the experiences available, there also may be some cruise ones there.
