Currently reading Kingdom Keepers II: Disney at Dawn

Next will be Breaking Dawn

Then after that I am working on the Odd Thomas Series.

I LOVE the Odd Thomas books!!! HAve you read any of them yet?

As for me, I just finished Watchmen...one word...brilliant!

Next I'm stealing my wife's copy of Inkheart.

I just finished Glenn Beck's "The Christmas Sweater", which I loved. Today I started "The Shack", which I am reading for my book group.

I am waiting to buy Breaking Dawn, can't wait to read it.

I still have a GC for Barnes and Noble for Christmas, and have no idea what to buy.

I will look forward to hearing great books that everyone is reading!:thumbsup2

I keep having the Marly and Me thing pushed on me...it's just too sappy for my tastes...but to each his own!

I just read Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. I really enjoyed it. I had never read a book about circus life before.

And I have Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer as my next read. It looks like a fast read.

I'm pretty much on a vampire fiction roll right now. Over Christmas break I've read:

Moon Called
Blood Bound
Iron Kissed (all three by Patricia Briggs)

Sunshine by Robin McKinley

5 of the Noble Dead books:
Dhampir
Thief of Lives
Sister of the Dead
Traitor to the Blood
Rebel Fey

Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton

I also reread all the Sookie Stackhouse books (1-8)

Dang, that's a lot of reading, and that's a lot of vampires.

No more for me though because school starts tomorrow.

I am currently on book 4 of The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.

I just started Devil's Brood By Sharon Kay Penman about Eleanor of Aquitaine, Henry II and the rest. Love her stories and I've learned so much about history along the way.

DD got me hooked on The House of Night series by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast. It's a series geared toward older teens about a kind of vampire school. I'd gotten her the first book as an extra birthday present and she asked for the rest of the series for Christmas. She then passed them on to me and I'm enjoying them so much more than the Twilight series. The books have a lot of action and I've read the first four books in the last week.

My favorite book I read last year is The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Anne Barrows. I bought it for several people for Christmas.

Next up is a biography of Abigail Adams that I got for Christmas.

"secrets of the mouse: an unofficial behind-the-scenes guide to disneyland park" by alan joyce

"chicken soup for the soul in menopause: living and laughing through hot flashes and hormones" by jack canfield, mark victor hansen and dahlynn mckowen

"the migraine brain" by carolyn bernstein

"catalog: the illustrated history of mail-order shopping" by robin cherry

I enjoyed both of those books. I was a little skeptical about Water for Elephants, but once I got into the book I couldn't put it down!

I love Claire and Jamie!! I'm impatiently waiting for the next book to be published.

Last night I started The Kill Artist by Daniel Silva. I'm not far enough into it to comment on the book. He's a new-to-me writer. Does anyone here like his books?

Sign of the Beaver as I start this book this week with my 5th graders that I will be subbing long term in now until the rest of the school year.

I am a little bit into Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer (at my son's request--he LOVES the Twighlight books). Prior to that and in between the Twilight books, I knocked out The Lady Elizabeth by Alison Weir. Pretty darned good!

I am also waiting for book 7 of the Outlander series. I'm afraid I've waited so long, though, that I won't be able to get into it.

Currently reading about 3 books...this drives DH nuts..he has trouble handling one..LOL

I am reading The Golden Compass

Just picked up Tales of Beetle the Bard, which should be a quick read.

Also reading a fiction book based on World of Warcraft, called Rise of the Horde.

I am waiting for Eclipse to come from the library, and should knock that out within a few days afer getting it.
