I was able to purchase the new gift cards last week by calling the merchandising number 407-363-6200. I called on Monday and they arrived on Wednesday. I got them for birthday presents and the kids love them!

I'd like to use my DD's Disney Dollars to pay for the gift card.It would be alot easier for her than carrying all those Disney dollars around!Im sure you can use Disney dollars to buy one, right?

Who operates the Disney Stores now? This explains why they don't have a Disney catalogue anymore. I wonder how this will affect the merchandise that they carry.

I think it is the Children's Place who owns it now. I did recently get a Disney catalog with lots of back to school items in it. I am not sure who "owns" the catalog.

The new ownership will prevent me from purchasing certain items because if there is problem with anything, I cannot return it to my Disney store. (This happened last summer..A new $100.00 watch purchased at WOD did not keep accurate time, and I returned it to the Disney store...No problem.)

Does anyone know if these gift cards can be purchased at a Disney resort?
Or just at Downtown Disney???

They were for sale at the Mercantile in WL, also saw them at FW and BC. They are also at the bigger stores in all of the parks right by the registers. They are definitely out there!
