Fort Wilderness/TTC Route
Restructure Test Coming Soon
In order to continue to reach toward and achieve our goal of 'Magic in
Motion' by enhancing that 'dynamic experience that unites WDW', we
will test a new idea in guest service at Fort Wilderness. Our goal is
to improve guest service and the 'ingeniously simple and hassle-free'
transportation experience of our Fort Wilderness and our Magic Kingdom
Resort guests using the same buses we use now.
What are we trying to accomplish?
* Improve bus service to Fort Wilderness Guests by providing direct
service to all Parks and Downtown Disney.
* Shorten internal travel times for our Fort Wilderness guests.
* Alleviate complaints about trip times and crowded buses to and from
Fort Wilderness.
* Increase Company knowledge by exposing more Cast Members to the Fort
Wilderness experience.
* Lessen the amount of internal bus traffic through the Campgrounds.
* Offer direct service from the Magic Kingdom Resorts to Downtown
Disney all day.
Though the current system has some positive elements -such as
10-minute intervals between buses, no internal transfers, and all
buses go to all stops our guests are telling us there is a need to
improve. The new system has its rewards for our guests. By providing
direct service to all the Parks and Downtown Disney, guests can avoid
the long ride through the Fort to TTC only to have to transfer to
another bus. The confusion at the Settlement as to which bus to board,
Boone or Crockett, will be eliminated. With less internal bus traffic
and shorter internal travel times, we will have increased capacity and
have less crowded buses. Buses will not fill up before completing all
the stops. On top of all the efficiencies and improvements in our Fort
Wilderness transportation, we will provide direct service from the ~
Magic Kingdom Resorts to Downtown Disney all day, The East and West
routes will go up first thing in the morning and run all day. There
will be no more transfers at TTC for our Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge
and Grand Floridian guests. Don't miss the next issue of the Bus Crewz
News Weekly for more details on exactly how the routes will be run
during the test.
